I call this the "15 minute scenario activity" where I give teachers or kids 15 minutes to find the information and present it to me in a way that makes sense. You don't have to have the 15 minute limit on this activity but instead use it as a way to assess students' real knowledge about a subject, process, knowledge or understanding. Instead of being afraid of students using the Interent...in brace it! Structure your questions that makes them have to use it. After all, this is how real work gets done!
